For three years the Victorian Branch of A.A.A. co-operated with the Victorian Branch of A.A.S.W. in bringing out the State journal. The success, of the combined effort in ope State augurs well for the continued collaboration in the enlarged sphere. A me'diun for 'the written exprE~ssion and interchange of ideas and knowl edg'e, ,is vitally important in the develppment of a pro­ fession. The bi,rth of this ven tu re marks a. milestone in our history in Australia. FroIn this modest beginning we hope to see our progress both nurtured and reflected ina gradual improvement in quality and quantity of material published. As a group of social workErs practicing in the medical field, members of A.A.A. have their own contribution to make in adding to the general store a measurE of partiCUlar thought and knOWledge, acquired through concentration and experience in their chosen setting.
