SUMMARY Description of a new strepsipterous parasite of Jassidae (Homopt.-Auch.) from south France (Montpellier): Halictophagus languedoci, n. sp. Male, female and first larva (triangulinid). With its basal tibia spine, it is very close to a canadian species: Halictophagus mackayi Bohart, from which it differs by the aedeagus and the characteristics of the buccal plate and mouth. A small key is given to differentiate the two species.
