NOTE BRÈVE Annls Soc. ent. Fr. (N.S.) 1991, 27 (1): 119-120, 4 fig., 5 réf. Wall-pore sensilla on the ovipositor of the European sunflower Moth, Homoeosoma nebulella Denis & Schiffermüller (Lepidoptera : Pyralidae) Catherine REYMONET (*) & Michel-J. On the sunflower, the females of Homoeosoma nebulella lay their eggs especially on the internai wall of anthers (Zhou et al., 1988). In the laboratory, they refuse to ovi posit on smooth substrates. Oviposition also needs the presence either of pollen of host plants or of aromatic extracts of sunflower heads (Le Métayer & Reymonet, 1990). Besi des the antennae and the proboscis, the females use their ovipositor in the oviposition site finding. The abject of the present study is to demonstrate the presence of mechanorecep tors and chemoreceptors on the ovipositor of H. nebulella. The two ovipositor lobes of 3 females have been observed with S.E.M. On these ovipositors, we observed 4 types of sensilla : long, medium and shorts. trichodea (types A, Band C), and s.
