About the Authors Angelo Caranfa is an emeritus scholar who taught philosophy at stonehill college and at bridgewater state college. his areas of interest are twentieth- century f rench aesthetics and aesthetic education. he has published articles in numerous journals and is the author of three books: Claudel: Beauty and Grace (1989), Proust: The Creative Silence (1990), and Camille Claudel: A Sculpture of Interior Solitude (1999). Donald Crosby is professor of philosophy emeritus of colorado state univer - sity, where he taught for thirty-six years. his current main research interests are in the areas of religious naturalism, metaphysics, American philosophy, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. crosby’s latest published books are Faith and Freedom: Contexts, Choices, and Crises in Religious Com- mitments (r outledge, 2018) and Partial Truths and Our Common Future (suny , 2018). he is also coeditor (with Jerome A. stone) of The Routledge Handbook of Religious Naturalism (r outledge, 2018). Brandon Daniel-Hughes teaches religion and philosophy at John Abbott col- lege in sainte-Anne-de-bellevue, Quebec. he is the author of the recently pub- lished book Pragmatic Inquiry and Religious Community: Charles Peirce, Signs, and Inhabited Experiments (r outledge, 2018). his current research focuses on religious naturalism and the American pragmatist tradition. he also grows vegetables and brews beer. F. LeRon Shults is professor of philosophy and theology at the university of Agder in Kristiansand, norway. he has published seventeen books and nearly one hundred articles and book chapters on themes related to philosophy and the scientific study of religion. shults is currently the director of the modeling r eligion in norway (modrn) project, which develops computer models that simulate social phenomena related to religion and secularization. Jeffrey B.
