One trauma after another. 68 My life has seen its fair share of trauma. I was given up for adoption when I was just a few days old. I was suddenly taken away from the foster family that had taken care of me from the time I was surrendered until I was two years old. I was adopted by two parents, but only one of them loved me—my daddy. I was sexually assaulted by an uncle when I was eleven. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at twenty-six. I was in a loveless marriage for eleven years. Trauma. One trauma after another. But the beauty of my life is that I have always found ways to cope with my trauma.
