Abstract: This account is a brief, non-academic review of the author’s career, launched under the guidance of Don Dumond (DD). The paper explores some “windows” of his life that may not be familiar to many. A lot of this is personal narrative, but the paper finishes with some reflections on DD’s contributions to the understanding of Alaskan archeology.
