Associations Associations The following list of national and regional associations, and related conservation organizations, is arranged in alphabetical order of acronyms (e.g. ACOPAZOA followed by AFdPZ, etc). An asterisk (*) preceding a name indicates the contact person. The associations update the list annually, providing information about significant conservation activities and achievements, including conservation initiatives, research and projects. Details are also given of keynote regional/international meetings and workshops to be held in 2009 and 2010. In the list of Zoos and Aquariums of the World preceding this list, each institution known to be a member of a national or regional association has the relevant acronym at the end of the entry.
