It seems that every time you turn on the television, CEOs are said to be firing thousands of people to impress Wall Street and to obtain bigger bonuses for themselves. Although it may be unpopular, I intend to complain about this ongoing criticism. I would like to sing the praises of corporations and of some of the people who own them and run them. I will also address important changes in the ownership of corporate America. According to certain media analysts and political leaders, corporate managers like to close plants here in the United States of America so that we can give the jobs to workers in China, or Mexico, or Vietnam or Europe. They imply that we are traitors. They charge that corporate executives “don’t give a damn” about the people who work for us, or the companies that supply us, or the communities we live in, or the fellow who owns the bar across the street from our factory.
