The first was a Glossy snake Arizona elegans eburnata which measured approximately 147.5 cm overall. The second, a garter snake Thamnophis marcianus nigrolateris, was I 19.5 cm overall. Some interesting and unusual snakes that we have had in our collection include a juvenile twoheaded gopher snake Pituophis melanoleucus a#nis which ate lizards with the left head and lived from 19 March 1955 to 4 July 1955; three albino gopher snakes of the same species (one captive raised, the other two
