The maintenance of pelagic jellyfish in the Zoo‐Aquarium Berlin

The maintenance of pelagic jellyfish in the Zoo‐Aquarium Berlin The Zoo‐Aquarium Berlin houses ten species of jellyfish. eight of Scyphozoa and two Hydrozoa. With the exception of the hemisessile Mangrove jellyfish Cassiopea. all are pelagic. This paper examines the differences in the maintenance of each species. The successful husbandry of all these pelagic jellyfish requires not only different types of food for the polyps, growing medusae and adults but also, depending on the species, different types water current and shape of tank. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png International Zoo Yearbook Wiley
